Korea Visa Without Bank Docs: PH Card Promo

SEELEY EDITORIAL·UPDATED JUL 17, 2026·3 MIN READ

One of the biggest hurdles for Filipino travelers applying for a South Korean tourist visa is proving financial capacity. Gathering bank certificates, requesting 3 months of bank statements, and calculating your 6-month Average Daily Balance (ADB) can cause a massive amount of anxiety.

But did you know you might be able to skip the bank entirely?

Thanks to the Korean Embassy’s Simplified Visa Regime (officially extended until December 31, 2026), eligible premium credit cardholders can bypass submitting bank certificates, bank statements, and Income Tax Returns (ITRs).

Here is exactly how the credit card promo works, which cards qualify, and how you can apply.

What is the Simplified Korean Visa Scheme?

Under this program, the Korean Embassy assumes that if a local bank has already trusted you with a high-tier or "Elite" credit line, you possess the financial capacity to travel. The Golden Exemption: If you qualify, you are strictly exempted from submitting your Bank Certificate, Bank Statements, and ITR.

Which Banks & Cards are Eligible in 2026?

The program features strategic partnerships with major Philippine banks. Generally, the eligible cards include:

Partner BankEligible Card Tiers (Principal Cardholders Only)
BPIGold Rewards, Platinum Rewards, Amore Platinum Cashback, and BPI Signature.
BDOAll Gold and Elite Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Diners Club, UnionPay, and BDO-issued American Express.
MetrobankWorld Mastercard, Travel Signature Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Travel Platinum Visa, Platinum Mastercard, and Dollar Mastercard.
RCBCGold (MC, Visa, JCB), Black MC, Diamond MC, Hexagon Privilege/Priority, Visa Platinum, JCB Platinum, UnionPay Diamond, Visa Infinite, and World MC.
PNBPNB Visa Gold, PNB Cup Diamond, World Elite MC, M3 World, M3 Platinum, and Core Platinum.

Note: This promo strictly applies to Primary cardholders whose accounts are active and in good standing. Supplementary cardholders are generally excluded unless they are immediate family applying alongside the primary user.

The New Simplified Document Checklist

Instead of your financial portfolio, you will only need to provide two credit-related substitutes alongside your standard application documents. Exemption Substitutes to Submit: 1. Photocopy of the Eligible Credit Card: Front face only. Security Tip: Never photocopy or reveal the back of your card (the CVV number). 2. Printed Billing Statements: Original or printed e-statements covering the last 3 consecutive months.

You Still Need to Submit the Basics: Exemptions only apply to financial documents. You must still provide the following standard requirements to the Korean Visa Application Center (KVAC) or a designated travel agency:

  • Original Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • Duly accomplished Visa Application Form (printed on A4 paper)
  • 1 passport-sized photo with a white background
  • Original Certificate of Employment (COE) detailing your position, date hired, and salary

Can Your Family Benefit Too?

Yes! If you are the primary holder of a qualified elite credit card, your immediate family members can also ride on your financial exemption. This includes your parents, spouse, minor children, and even your spouse's parents.

To apply together, your family members simply need to submit the standard requirements alongside a copy of your credit card documents and an official PSA certificate (Birth or Marriage Certificate) to prove your relationship.
